The playbook

How Joe builds a business.

No new category, no waiting for the perfect idea. The same four moves, over and over, for almost thirty years.

01

Start with real demand

Go where customers are already searching and buying. Plug into a flow that exists instead of manufacturing one from nothing.

02

Build the tool you need

When the software to run the business does not exist or costs too much, build it. Every product Joe owns solved a problem he hit himself.

03

Run it yourself first

Prove it on his own money and his own operations before anyone else touches it. If it cannot carry his businesses, it does not get sold.

04

Own the whole chain

Capture, routing, consent, messaging, delivery. Own each step and the margins stay inside the business instead of leaking to a middleman.

The portfolio

A connected stack of companies.

Each one owns a step of finding, documenting, and converting a customer. These are live products, not a portfolio slide.

Online Lead Exchange

The full portfolio and the story behind each one lives at joedelfgauw.com.

The story

From six call centers to the software that runs them.

In 2017 Joe shut six physical call centers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and swore he was done for good. He wasn't. Today his companies own the dialer, texting, and email software that runs it. He just traded the buildings for the code.

That is the whole pattern. He hits a problem, cannot find a tool that actually solves it, so he builds his own and runs his own businesses on it before anyone else ever touches it. Read the full story of who Joe Delfgauw is.
